You say you want me to prosper

But you won’t let me succeed

You always try to stop me

From my wants and all my needs

You throw roadblocks in my way

Because you want me to stay

But I have news for you

I will be marching through

The road may be hard and long

But my God has made me strong

And I will be on top

For you can no longer stop

What will be my destiny

Just you wait and see

Is there something more to life?  Something more than this?

This will require that you take some time to really reflect on your life: what are your dreams, goals and aspirations? Write down the top five key areas in your life that mean the most to you. From the resources you have found, select one or two of your key areas and write out a growth plan. What will satisfy us here on planet Earth? Take this thought journey and see how your life fares. Another second goes by, another moment of life.

There must be something more IN life and something more TO life

We should find self gratification within ourselves – the belief that we are worthy of self love without vainess or conceit.  Joy has to come from within – yes, others can contribute to our happiness but when or if they leave, our joy needs to remain.  We need to try not to replace it with disappointment or despair.  If we are happy with our job (work environment) today and it ends tomorrow are we still happy?  If upon receiving a bouquet of flowers we are joyful, when they wither – does joy remain with us?  Happiness and joy always need to reside within us.

I find peace in knowing that yes, I can answer these questions knowing that I am happy and peaceful.  If the people in my life were to leave, I’ve had moments and memories that will touch me always because I was (allowed) afforded the opportunity to experience them.  If my job ended tomorrow, I’ll be happy because of the people I’ve helped and have helped me.  If I received a bouquet of flowers that eventually faded, I enjoyed the colors and essence of their fragrance.

What are your answers to happiness?

“Stuck”

Sometimes, we feel “stuck” in a certain area of our life – unable to move forward, stagnate.  It could be related to a job, relationship or situation; we’re at an impasse.  When we are able to identify, acknowledge and accept our “roadblock” we then can work on a solution in order to obtain peace.  We just need to define what ‘peace’ means to us.  I was asked what is the difference between happiness and contentment?  To me – happiness is the moment, contentment is a lifetime.  To you – it may be something else.  Of course, it is possible to have both at the same time – things and situations are what you make of it.

Self

The total, essential, or particular being of one person; the individual. The qualities of one person distinguishing him form another; personality or character; individuality.

What is Worth?

The quality of  something that renders it desirable, useful, or valuable:

The quality within a person that render him or her deserving of respect.

You can forgive but you will never forget. The first thing to do is forgive yourself; second, detached that negative emotion in order to forgive the person or people who hurt you. You will always remember, but you don’t have to remember the pain.

Solus per acqua

Solus per acqua is the Latin acronym for Spa.

When we think of spa therapy, we envision rest, relaxation and pampering.  Our cares and worries seem to magically disappear at least for the moment.  No significant others, no children, no bosses – all the people and things that seem to endessly pull us in multiple directions.

We deserve some quality “me-time”, don’t we?  That moment when it’s all about us, our own mini vacation – there’s nothing wrong with a “little” selfishness every now and then.  When you think about how many hours we give to others – who says we can’t devote a couple of hours to ourself?  De-stressing is essential for clearing the mind of constant chatter.

Subconsciously, we command, expect and deserve Self-Love and we mustn’t feel guilty of this desire.  You can’t live life without love but first we must learn to love.  We must love ourselves to attain self worth.  Shake off the fear and the doubt of truth that you are not deserving of peace and serenity.
